Team SouL Crowned Champions of BMSD 2026; Set to Represent India at Two Global Tournaments
Team SouL completes an incredible 28-point comeback on the final day, lifting the trophy and claiming the ₹30 lakh grand prize.
Team SouL, led by captain Nakul Sharma (NakuL), alongside Harsh Paudwal (Goblin), Khush Singh (Jokerr), Yash Choudhary (LEGIT), and Aaryaman Seth (Thunder), completely dominated the three-day BMSD 2026 Grand Finals. The squad finished with 155 points and 103 eliminations—the highest tally by any team across the finals. The victory earned the team ₹30 lakh in prize money, while LEGIT was named Finals MVP for recording 33 finishes across 18 matches, earning an additional ₹1 lakh.
The tournament also marked a historic individual milestone for Goblin, who officially became the first Indian esports player to record 1,000 finishes in official KRAFTON-sanctioned BGMI tournaments.

The Comeback Story & The Smash Rule
Going into Day 3 of the Grand Finals, 8Bit was dominating the standings with a heavy 116 points. Team SouL started the final day all the way back in fourth place, trailing the leaders by 28 points. However, an aggressively coordinated, high-kill performance on the final day allowed SouL to rack up a massive 103 finish points—completely turning the table in their favor.
Day 3 implemented KRAFTON’s thrilling Smash Rule, where a team crossing the point threshold of 126 points becomes "Match Point Eligible" and must win a subsequent match to claim the trophy early. Team SouL crossed the 126 threshold in Match 14 after securing a decisive 13-elimination Chicken Dinner on Erangel. However, they were unable to seal the deal with a final win, and because no other eligible team triggered the rule, the grand finale went the distance to a full 18 matches, forcing a victory based entirely on total accumulated points.
“One of the biggest lessons this year has been learning to make the right decisions when things don’t go according to plan. Over the season, we have grown more confident in our individual roles and in how we work together in different situations. Our coach and the management have also played an important role in helping us stay focused on our preparation and performance. As we move into BMIC and PMGC, we will need to remain adaptable and find ways to respond to teams with different approaches to the game. That is the challenge we are looking forward to.”
— Nakul Sharma (NakuL), Captain of Team SouL
