JAIPUR, India – In what will be remembered as one of the most dramatic conclusions in Indian BGMI history, GodLike Esports emerged as the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2026 Champions on Sunday. Manya’s rebuilt squad—written off after finishing dead last on Day 1 with just 20 points—clawed its way back across three days of relentless competition at the JECC to claim the title that has eluded this organization for years.
The Greatest Comeback in BGMI History
The points table tells the story: 20 points and 16th place after Day 1. Champions after Day 3. The roster of Manya, Admin, Spower, Saumay, and GodZ responded to their opening-day nightmare with a massive 70-point run on Day 2, clawing their way into contention before delivering under maximum pressure on the final day.
As the final match of 18 came to a close, they seized the #1 spot, edging out Divine Gaming by a razor-thin 10-point margin. The moment the title was confirmed, the JECC arena erupted. Manya, the veteran IGL who has carried the GodLike flag through one of its most turbulent rebuilds, broke down in tears as teammates, friends, and family rushed the stage. It was the culmination of a rebuild, a redemption, and a resolve that defines competitive esports.
The Podium & A Dramatic Final Match
Divine Gaming, who led the overall standings for the majority of the Grand Finals, pushed all the way to the finish line. Driven by standout performer Sonigra Raghuraj Singh, playing on home soil in Rajasthan, they secured a well-deserved second place. Victores Sumus (VS) completed the podium, recovering from 15th place after Day 1 to claim third on the back of two Chicken Dinners and an explosive Day 2.
The drama of the final match also belonged to another icon: Jonathan Amaral. India’s most celebrated BGMI player—now the founder of Team Apex Gaming (TAG) and a former GodLike star—sealed a Chicken Dinner in Match 18. This pivotal win sent his squad surging nine places up the final standings in a single game, capping off a spectacular organizational debut at BMPS.
Record-Breaking Viewership & Prize Pool
BMPS 2026 was the richest and most expansive edition of the tournament to date. Sixty-four of India’s top teams navigated a brand-new Promotion and Relegation format over six weeks before reaching Jaipur. On June 8, KRAFTON India doubled the prize pool from ₹2 crore to a staggering ₹4 crore. GodLike Esports took home ₹1 crore as champions.
The tournament shattered records across the board. The Grand Finals peaked at 729,000 concurrent viewers (CCV), making it the most-watched BGMI Grand Finals in history. On the ground, Rajasthan’s first-ever major national esports LAN drew an in-person attendance of over 12,000 fans across three days, cementing Jaipur's status as a rising esports destination.
The Road to Riyadh
For an organization that has long been one of the sport's biggest names, their first official BMPS trophy holds massive significance. Alongside the domestic title, GodLike Esports will represent India at the Esports World Cup 2026 as BMPS Champions. They will be joined by iQOO Orangutan, who secured the second India slot by finishing first on the overall KRAFTON India Esports (KIE) Rankings after the tournament's conclusion.
