PARIS, France – Underdog RvPLegend claimed the top spot at the EA FC Pro World Championship at EWC 2026 after an epic gauntlet run through the Play-In stage. Razvan "RvPLegend" Puiu has claimed the FC Pro World Championship at Esports World Cup 2026 (EWC) after a 6-5 victory against Levy "levyfinn" Rieck in the grand final. RvPLegend took an early lead and never let go of his grip on the Diogo Jota FC Pro World Championship trophy, claiming his share of the $1,000,000 prize pool, and the honor of becoming the FC Pro 2026 World Champion.
RvPLegend, ranked 30th overall heading into the tournament, qualified for the World Championship by finishing second in the Europe East FC Pro 26 Open Cup to make it to the Play-Ins stage. Both finalists were placed in the same Play-Ins group, with levyfinn taking the second spot while RvPLegend came in fourth, meaning RvPLegend had to win three straight in the Play-ins playoffs just to reach the World Championship main event.
Once in the main event, RvPLegend’s path did not get easier, but he secured a spot in the first round of the knockout stage after drawing against the legendary Nicolas "nicolas99fc" Villalba and notching major wins against Gustavo "GugaFerraz" Ferraz, Ander "Neat" Tobal, and a player that knows all about taking the hardest path, EWC 2024 champion João "jafonsogv" Vasconcelos.
RvPLegend looked confident in the first two rounds of playoffs, comfortably making it past heavy hitters Umut "Umut" Gültekin and GugaFerrez again. But against 17-year-old prodigy Alihan "Alihan" Hadzhi, RvPLegend needed every bit of skill and every ounce of luck to make it through, winning in penalties after a 5-5 draw at the end of extra time. Waiting for him in the semifinals though was Nassim "Nassada" Dahman, fresh off a seismic 11-5 victory over world number one Anders "Vejrgang" Vejrgang. But RvPLegend was victorious in a 10-8 shootout, securing a dream Grand Final against levyfinn.
In the Grand Final, RvPLegend opened the scoresheet in the first few minutes after levyfinn conceded a penalty, and after that the goals started pouring in, with RvPLegend leading 4-2 at the half. While levyfinn was the favorite on paper, he looked constantly on the backfoot, and couldn't close the gap, as RvPLegend continued the momentum he gained early in the tournament. After the half, RvPLegend extended his lead by two goals, but levyfinn was able to rally and, by the dying minutes of the game, had reduced the deficit to just one goal with seconds left to play. Despite that comeback, RvPLegend managed to hold on to secure the win by just a single goal, etching his name into the history books.
“I’m a world champion. I cannot describe the feeling; I’m just crying, I cannot speak,” said Razvan "RvPLegend" Puiu following the grand final. “I will just still try to play my game and just try to be the best version of me I can. Don't be afraid, first of all. Follow your dreams. One day they will come true.”
In the third place game, Matías "Bonanno" Bonanno and Nassada clashed over who would take the final spot on the podium. A close game saw both players trading goals, leading to a 4-4 finish in regular play. The goals continued to sail in, but extra time finished up at 6-6, leading to a dramatic finish on penalties. Both players missed their first goals, but it was Bonanno who held onto his composure and buried three goals to Nassada's one, earning the $75,000 prize for finishing third.
Before the grand final took place, Karim Benzema, one of France’s greatest footballers and Ballon D’Or winner, and Amine, one of the country’s most influential digital creators, took to the main stage in the stc Arena to show off their own virtual football skills in an EA FC showmatch featuring creators Bruce and Brak. PARIS, France -- 18 games of Grand Final action saw Virtus.pro claim the PUBG: Battlegrounds at Esports World Cup 2026 top prize after an early lead and consistent, excellent play led them past everyone else. Virtus.pro locked in their spot in the final after finishing sixth in the group stage, but looked unstoppably strong from that point onwards. Day two saw just one individual match win from the eventual winners, but they claimed plenty of points through consistent play throughout the day to close day two with 126 points, setting the Match Point threshold at 136. On day three, their first match put them past the threshold, and they almost claimed the title in game 15, but Team Liquid would deny them a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. This only delayed the inevitable, as no other team even reached the Match Point threshold, allowing Virtus.pro to win with 159 points; 33 points higher than second-place finishers The Vicious.
“It’s an insane feeling, the emotions we are going through. I’m just happy that I’ve done it with this team and no one else. Of course, I'm super proud of them,” said Nino "NIXZYEE" Mikec. “Of course we knew [we had won]. We knew when we stepped here that this was our stage. It was a nice feeling, but it was very stressful.”
On why they picked the keys of Twisted Minds, Team Falcons, and NAVI to be embedded into their trophy, he added: “They are the hardest three teams that were competing with us for EWC. We really respect those teams, so we like to have them as a token for this [win].”
For his performance throughout the tournament, Virtus.pro's Nino "NIXZYEE" Mikec was named the SONY MVP. He landed 33 kills, 32 knockdowns, and had an average survival time throughout the tournament of 21 minutes and 21 seconds. As a result of his spectacular performance, the Virtus.pro player takes home an additional $25,000 along with the MVP prize. “The grind pays off,” NIXZYEE simply said after receiving his MVP prize.
The Vicious’ win in the final game drastically shook up the standings. After securing multiple top three places in several games, they played an incredible match in Game 18, notching 11 kills and earning 10 placement points, which saw them shoot up from sixth place to second overall in the standings. This propelled them past contenders like Natus Vincere, Team Falcons, and Team Vitality, increasing their winnings from $74,000 up to $305,000 in the span of just a few minutes.
Teamfight Tactics - Team Vision Dominate Aurora Gaming to Win Teamfight Tactics at Esports World Cup 2026
PARIS, France – The Teamfight Tactics at Esports World Cup 2026 trophy went to Team Vision after a lower bracket run that culminated with a supreme outplay of Aurora Gaming in a one-sided grand final. Five days of Teamfight Tactics action at the Allianz Vault are over, and Team Vision has claimed a 3-0 victory over Aurora Gaming at Teamfight Tactics at EWC 2026, along with the $150,000 grand prize, plus 1,000 Club Championship points.

Despite a tricky match-up against T1, Team Vision secured a straight 2-0 win against the South Korean Club to secure a spot in the quarterfinals, where they would face Virtus.Pro. There, they were able to advance with a 2-1 finish, which then set up a revenge match against Flash Wolves, where Team Vision dug deep and conquered their rivals 2-1 to book their place in the Grand Final against Aurora Gaming.
The Grand Final was a dominant 3-0 for Team Vision. Game one saw them take control of the health bars and never gave Aurora Gaming a chance to respond. Game two was more of the same for Team Vision, who were able to secure a victory in the late mid-game. The third and final game saw Aurora Gaming’s Zhen "60second" Jiankuo control the top of the standings. However, the rest of his team struggled to keep up, and ZhenBai of Team Vision was able to outsmart his opponents, knocking his rivals down one after another to secure the series and claim the EWC 2026 title.
Aurora Gaming, a team that features the reigning solo Teamfight Tactics Tactician's Crown winner Ge "Huanmie" Wuxin, were tipped to go far in the tournament, especially after beating out favorites and EWC 2025 winners Weibo Gaming. However, Team Vision looked like one side too strong for the team to conquer, as they were unable to outstrategize their opponents.
“I feel like we were able to take the win and the title tonight, because we were really understanding of the enemy team, because we were scrim partners with them, we were able to take it all. So we are really happy with today,” said MoGG. “Thank you so much to the friends and family that were able to watch this journey with us through the Esports World Cup. People stayed up late to watch us compete in Paris. So I want to give a specific shoutout to my wife for supporting me on this journey.”
Yan "Flancy" Lingyu was named SONY MVP after he captained his side to victory at EWC 2026, earning an extra $25,000. “I would like to believe that this MVP was deserved for everyone on my team. In the 4v4 format, we were able to pull through. Of course, I want to thank you, fans and the people behind the camera. This MVP is for you,” said Yan "Flancy" Lingyu after being presented the award.
The victory secured Team Vision 1,000 Club Championship points, sending them to joint first in the overall standings alongside NAVI with 1,750 total. TFT however represents the final game at EWC 2026 for Team Vision, leaving their fate in the final standings unknown until the final week.
