The Smash Rule: A Thrilling Twist on Day 3
Traditional point-accumulation is only half the battle. On Day 3, the tournament introduces the exhilarating Smash Rule, which completely changes the win conditions and guarantees a dramatic conclusion. Here is how it works:
- Setting the Match Point Target: After Match 12 concludes (end of Day 2), a unique points threshold is calculated. The target is set to the current 1st-place team’s total score + 10 points.
- Becoming Eligible: From Match 13 onward, any team that reaches or surpasses this Match Point Target becomes officially "eligible" for the championship.
- Securing the Trophy: Once a team is eligible, they must win a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (WWCD) in a subsequent match to instantly end the tournament and claim the championship. (Important: Reaching the target and securing the WWCD must happen in separate matches.)
- The Fallback: If no eligible team manages to secure a Chicken Dinner by the end of Match 18, the Smash Rule is voided, and the team with the highest overall points across the leaderboard is crowned the winner.
Where to Watch: The LAN arena at Savaaya Convention is ready to roar. Fans looking to catch the high-stakes action can tune in to the official KRAFTON India Esports YouTube channel starting at 1:00 PM IST every day.
