AG.AL captures the coveted $7 million Club Championship title following seven weeks of intense competition in Paris, capping off a record-breaking $75 million spectacle watched by over 850 million viewers worldwide.
Paris/Riyadh (August 23, 2026): Following seven grueling weeks of world-class competitive gaming in Paris, France, AG.AL has officially been crowned the Esports World Cup 2026 Club Champion. Over 2,000 players representing 200 elite clubs from more than 100 countries competed across 25 tournaments spanning 24 game titles, vying for their share of an unprecedented $75 million prize purse.
AG.AL sealed the $7 million Club Championship top prize after accumulating an impressive 5,300 points across the festival. Their dominant overall campaign featured a championship title in TEKKEN 8, runner-up finishes in Chess, Free Fire, and the Honor of Kings World Cup, along with a bronze placement in Teamfight Tactics. Two-time defending champions Team Falcons finished in second place with 4,600 points, followed by Team Vitality (3,300 pts), Natus Vincere (2,950 pts), and Team Liquid (2,700 pts).
The Decisive Final Weekend in Trackmania
The Club Championship race went right down to the wire on the final weekend. Team Falcons entered the final days holding the overall lead, but a quarterfinal exit by Carl-Antoni “Carl Jr.” Cloutier in the inaugural EWC Trackmania tournament opened the door for AG.AL. Needing a podium finish of third or better to clinch the global title, AG.AL’s Gwendal “Gwen” Duparc delivered an ice-cold performance under extreme pressure, dominating the Grand Final to capture both the $130,000 tournament bounty and the overall Club Championship trophy.
“When we began expanding AG.AL globally in 2024, the same year the Esports World Cup launched, we set out to build a Club capable of succeeding across games, regions and cultures. This title shows how far that vision has come,” said Eddy Chen, COO at AG.AL. “Our journey in Paris reflected the strength of the entire organization, from M. Zubair’s breakthrough in TEKKEN 8 to Gwen delivering the decisive Trackmania victory under extraordinary pressure. Winning the Club Championship is a historic milestone for AG.AL.”
